Join our innovative team as a Warehouse Technician in Portland, Oregon, where you'll play a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our advanced warehouse facility. This position involves a mix of technical skills, problem-solving, and hands-on support to ensure our logistics operations run seamlessly. You will be instrumental in keeping our equipment in top condition and our warehouse environment optimized for productivity and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues that arise.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Operate and test equipment to verify functionality and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure the proper use and care of tools and machinery.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and the correct usage of PPE.
- Support the logistics team in daily operations as needed, including material handling and inventory management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, ideally within a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices is a plus.
