We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels within our Jacksonville, Florida logistics hub. This role is vital for optimizing warehouse efficiency and minimizing stock discrepancies. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS). Experience with inventory control principles and procedures is essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on potential shortages or overages.
- Identify and resolve root causes of inventory variances.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety policies, including proper PPE usage and awareness of lifting hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient stock movement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to material handling and lifting.
