Are you a natural leader with a passion for logistics? We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our busy Chicago, Illinois facility. This leadership role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of warehouse processes, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and upholding all company policies and safety standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in optimizing our logistics operations and achieving our operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Ensure efficient and accurate execution of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff.
- Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor workflow and productivity, making adjustments as needed to meet targets.
- Manage inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
