We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and maintaining accurate inventory records within our systems. This position is essential for the efficiency of our logistics operations, as precise inventory management prevents stockouts and overstock situations, optimizes warehouse space, and supports informed decision-making. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to identify and resolve inventory issues. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures is highly desirable. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and expect all employees to adhere to established protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). While this role is primarily analytical, it may involve occasional tasks requiring lifting of up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Process stock adjustments and transfers.
- Collaborate with warehouse team to improve inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory.
- Monitor and report on key inventory metrics.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and utilize required PPE .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE .
- Ability to perform light physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Effective communication skills.
