We are hiring a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics hub in San Antonio, Texas. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received, inspected, and documented accurately. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying product counts against invoices, checking for damages, and properly storing received items. A keen eye for detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this position. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our warehouse operations. We are committed to a safe working environment and provide all necessary PPE. Understanding of inventory management principles and experience with warehouse software are beneficial. The role requires physical activity, including lifting and moving packages, so familiarity with proper lifting techniques is important. You will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth inbound processes and contribute to maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify incoming goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all received products for damage or defects.
- Document all discrepancies and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Label and tag incoming inventory for tracking.
- Store received items in their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and proper lifting practices.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
