*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team part time (20-30hrs/week). The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for building the human-animal bond and have surgical nursing skills especially in dentistry roles such as radiology and anesthetic monitoring/induction. We have a strong teamwork culture where positive attitude and career advancement are promoted. You would work closely with our Veterinarians from appointment care to surgical nursing.
*Duties*
* Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
* Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
* Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed
* Fill medications as prescribed
* Monitor animal vital signs during procedures and recovery
* Provide animal restraint and catheterization when necessary
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in our electronic medical records
* Educate pet owners on proper pet care via in person, by phone/text, by email
* Ensure the cleanliness of the clinic, including cages, treatment area and examination rooms
* Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection
* Handle dogs and cats with gentle but safe restraint
*Experience*
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
* Veterinary technician experience or relevant certification preferred
* Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry
* Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and critical care situations
* Dental Procedure skills including, dental radiology, nerve blocks, induction/intubation and maintenance as well as ultrasonic scaling and polishing
* Laboratory experience in performing diagnostic tests is beneficial
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and autonomous

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $39.00 per hour
