The role involves close collaboration with the Director of Technology & Security, Head of Service Delivery, and Operations Director to deliver projects tailored to the requirements of legal professionals and business services staff.
Role responsibility Project Delivery
Plan, execute, and deliver IT and Change projects, ensuring completion on time, within scope, and budget.
Manage several priorities simultaneously, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with governance frameworks.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a small team of Project Managers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Effectively allocate resources across multiple projects and monitor team performance.
Stakeholder Management
Engage with senior stakeholders to build strong relationships and help define project objectives.
Ensure alignment of project goals with overall business strategy.
Communicate project progress, risks, and issues in a clear and proactive manner.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify, assess, and address project risks and issues promptly.
Escalate risks and issues when necessary and ensure they are tracked to resolution.
Implement thorough change control processes.
Budget & Resource Management
Develop and manage project budgets with strict cost control and value delivery.
Forecast resource requirements and oversee engagement with third-party suppliers.
Continuous Improvement
Promote ongoing improvements in project delivery methodologies and tools.
Advocate and implement best practices in IT project management across the organisation.
About you Essential
Demonstrable experience of delivering IT and Change projects in complex environments.
Proven leadership skills, including management of Project Managers.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and Agile.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
Comprehensive understanding of change management processes and their critical role in facilitating successful adoption
Proficiency in effective budget and resource management.
Experience in risk management and working within governance frameworks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Experience working within the legal or professional services sectors.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, applications, and digital transformation initiatives.
Relevant professional certifications, such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile PM, or PMP.
