An established FMCG manufacturer is looking to appoint a Development Chemist to join its Technical NPD team in Irvine. This is a hands-on formulation role, responsible for taking products from initial lab development through to manufacturing scale-up and market launch. The position focuses on product development and formulation ownership, not a QC or analytical chemistry role. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimise formulations for formulated FMCG products Manage NPD projects from lab through pilot and full-scale manufacture Support existing product ranges and deliver new formulations to agreed timelines Lead feasibility assessments to support tenders and quotations Oversee stability testing, specifications and launch readiness Ensure compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, QA and SHEExperience & Qualifications Degree in Chemistry or related discipline Minimum 3 years' experience in formulation development Proven experience of manufacturing scale-up in an FMCG environment Strong project management and commercial awareness GMP experience essential
