Job Title: Resort Events Manager

Pay:

Location: Kissimmee, FL

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

• Responsible for Membership and Resort Group and Special Events to include but not exhaustive of: Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Membership Events, Holiday related Resort Special Events both in Summer and Holiday time, and as requested.
• Responsible for catering accounts to include weddings and social bookings, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals.
• Call on definite Catering/Wedding & Group Sales Bookings as assigned, to detail event business; analyze requirements of functions, outline available facilities and services offered, as well as quoting menu prices.
• Coordinate and participate in wedding planning meetings and tastings for final selections.
• Oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Meet/exceed revenue goals through site inspections and written communication.
• Ability to keep open and effective communication with fellow coworkers, other departments, and leadership. Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
• Adhere to Reunion Resort and Golf Club company procedures and policies.
• Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.
• Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.
• Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
• Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.
• Provide clients with up-to-date knowledge of any specials, events, or promotions happening in the resort
• Attend meetings for the resort, community/social events, industry meetings, etc.
• Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
• Participate in training and other catering sales related meetings as required
• Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.
• Participate as a team player with all departments.
• Provide constructive feedback to all departments.
• Completing any other task/duties as assigned

• Position requires flexibility in scheduling according to events booked
• Must have attention to detail, strong ability to multi-task, and time-management skills
• Catering Sales experience of at least 1 years is required. Resort experience is a plus.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, etc.
• High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of Food and beverage items.
• Extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to the function room set-up
• Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Advanced Delphi.
• Excellent interpersonal and sales-related skills.
• Exceptional knowledge of social event trends, resort food & beverage pricing, and the ability to customize social events & all wedding events.
• Must be able to work independently or as a team
• Must be able to lift, push, carry, and pull up to 50lbs.
