Welder/Fitter

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Welder Fitter to join our dynamic team at Fluid Systems. In this role, you will lead welding and fitting projects, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while contributing to innovative solutions for complex fabrication challenges. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing our production efficiency and maintaining rigorous safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute welding and fitting operations on various materials, including but not limited to steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
• Conduct detailed inspections of fabricated components to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and implement improvements in fabrication processes.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior welders and fitters, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and practices.
• Document and report on project progress, issues, and resolutions to management.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and fitting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in MIG welding processes.
• Extensive knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Certification in welding from a recognized institution (e.g., AWS, ASME).

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• In-depth knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools.
• Experience with CAD software for creating and modifying fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to welding operations.
