Appointed by the Fiscal Court in accordance with established governmental procedures, Kentucky Revised Statutes and the direction of the Fiscal Court. The Director of Human Resources shall handle employee relations, payroll, benefits, and oversees the day-to-day operations of the HR department ensuring efficient and effective HR service for the County's workforce.

Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding. Administration of company programs, policies and procedures. Manage employee records and maintain confidentiality, facilitate administration of daily business office practices to ensure a high level of efficiency.

Serves as the Director of Human Resources of the County. Maintains all required employee records and produces various reports from such information as needed. May be involved in the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes of any new county employees. Speaks with employees regarding any relative issues and identifies resolutions. Development of office policies and procedures, managing employee timeclock system and benefit information. Implements strategies to improve productivity and efficiency levels. Performs related duties as assigned.

Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (G.E.D.) supplemented by at least two (2) years of progressively responsible human resource and employee management in the public sector.

Associate degree from accredited college in Human Resources or experience in Human Resource Administration. HR Certification preferred.

Must be a citizen of Kentucky, at least twenty-five (25) years old or has obtained a baccalaureate level degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Must meet further statutory requirements of the Kentucky Revised Statutes, specifically Chapter 68, including the ability to be bonded.

Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, limitations and requirements involved in the administration and overseeing of a Human Resource department. Extensive knowledge of County fiscal policies, organization and functions of County government, as it relates to Human Resources and Operations. Knowledge of modern office procedures and of business English, Human Resource practices and administration. Ability to compile and analyze confidential records. Considerable knowledge of computer equipment and related software programs. Ability to keep and direct the preparation of complex records and to prepare reports from said records.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officials, employees and the public. This person should be dependable, impartial, resourceful, tactful, accurate, neat and thorough, mature in judgment and possess integrity.

Pay: $60, $65,000.00 per year
