The Enterprise Architecture & Data position is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the organization's enterprise architecture and data strategy. This position will lead the development and implementation of a cohesive architectural vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and enabling digital transformation. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, data management principles, and emerging technologies. They will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES  

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, aligning with FLC's business strategy and technology trends.
  • Establish and enforce architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Lead the design and evaluation of complex solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Implement and utilize relevant enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Enhance and implement a comprehensive FLC data strategy, encompassing data governance, data quality, data security, and data analytics.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Design and implement a scalable and secure data architecture, supporting data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards and processes, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by providing access to relevant data and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (CCPA etc.) and implement robust data security measures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • Ability to build and lead a high-performing team of enterprise architects and data professionals.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Manage the budget for enterprise architecture and data initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead and manage organizational change related to enterprise architecture and data initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture and data frameworks.
  • Expertise in data management principles and practices (e.g., data governance, data quality, data architecture).
  • Proficiency in cloud computing, data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence technologies.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning).
  • Experience with relevant tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, data modeling tools).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive change and innovation.
  • Strong business acumen. 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 

Graduation from an accredited college, university, or equivalent with a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and data management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role. Experience with agile methodologies and industry certifications (e.g. Azure/AWS Certified) preferred. Experience in insurance, finance, association, public sector, and/or technology industries is highly encouraged.
