The Enterprise Architecture & Data position is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and driving the organization's enterprise architecture and data strategy. This position will lead the development and implementation of a cohesive architectural vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and enabling digital transformation. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, data management principles, and emerging technologies. They will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, aligning with FLC's business strategy and technology trends.
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
- Lead the design and evaluation of complex solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Implement and utilize relevant enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Enhance and implement a comprehensive FLC data strategy, encompassing data governance, data quality, data security, and data analytics.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Design and implement a scalable and secure data architecture, supporting data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence.
- Develop and implement data quality standards and processes, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
- Enable data-driven decision-making by providing access to relevant data and insights.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (CCPA etc.) and implement robust data security measures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to build and lead a high-performing team of enterprise architects and data professionals.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Manage the budget for enterprise architecture and data initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Lead and manage organizational change related to enterprise architecture and data initiatives.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture and data frameworks.
- Expertise in data management principles and practices (e.g., data governance, data quality, data architecture).
- Proficiency in cloud computing, data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence technologies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning).
- Experience with relevant tools and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, data modeling tools).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited college, university, or equivalent with a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and data management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role. Experience with agile methodologies and industry certifications (e.g. Azure/AWS Certified) preferred. Experience in insurance, finance, association, public sector, and/or technology industries is highly encouraged.
