Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality Supported Living Services to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism, and other cognitive or physical challenges. This role involves assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and supporting their integration into the community. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care environments, along with a strong commitment to person-centered care and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans and healthcare regulations.
- Provide patient observation and monitor health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly.
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote independence and socialization.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive support.
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training are preferred or will be provided upon hire.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide patient monitoring in a compassionate manner.
- Experience in medication administration and vital signs monitoring is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
