DSP (Direct Support Professional)

Direct Support Professional 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday- Friday

Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific instructions from healthcare professionals
- Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel

-Provide or arrange transportation for activities, medical appointments, events, and other purposes

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications in related fields are a plus)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in working with people with disability is preferred

-Be able to pass a background check
-CMT, CPR/First Aid training is preferred but can be provided and reimbursed

-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred

-Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and understanding of social work principles is a plus

-Drive individual to outings and activities (mileage reimbursable)

• Excellent communication/written skills and ability to interact effectively with individual, family and team members.
