Truck Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Candidates should possess strong driving skills, a clean driving record, and experience with different cargo types and truck configurations.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions across assigned routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Transport goods via route driving, adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
• Handle different types of cargo including refrigerated items, freight on flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off containers.
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit.
• Assist with maintenance tasks or minor repairs as needed to keep trucks in optimal condition.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transport.
• Familiarity with operating various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Experience with route driving and load & unload procedures in different environments.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking operations and cargo handling.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Additional skills such as forklift operation are a plus but not mandatory.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the truck types driven is required. This position offers an opportunity for skilled drivers to contribute to a dynamic logistics team while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight across various routes.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
