Server/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with food preparation and sanitation. Experience in the food industry, including quick service or restaurant settings, is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer engagement within a vibrant café or fast-food atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with basic math skills
• Prepare and serve food items according to safety and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations through bussing and sanitation practices
• Assist in food prep tasks as needed, including basic food preparation and portioning
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Support team members with various duties such as food handling, serving, and cleaning

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail math is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Familiarity with food preparation, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
• Experience working in quick service & fast-food restaurants or cafés is preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexibility to work during peak hours; prior restaurant or serving experience is beneficial but not required

Pay: $ $1,100.00 per week
