Server & Network Administrator

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Server & Network Administrator to support and maintain enterprise server, storage, backup, and network infrastructure. This role involves hands-on administration of Windows/Linux servers, enterprise storage systems, backup solutions, and network connectivity. The position is hybrid and requires working onsite at the Dallas client location three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Server & Compute Administration

Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers (physical & virtual)

Apply security patches, updates, and performance tuning

Automate server deployment and health monitoring

Storage Management

Manage SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage systems

Monitor capacity, performance, and availability

Support replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery readiness

Backup & Disaster Recovery

Implement and manage backup solutions

Perform backup verification and data restoration

Maintain and test disaster recovery documentation

Network Administration

Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity

Support routers, switches, firewalls, and network circuits

Monitor network capacity and performance

Provision new network circuits and maintain documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux servers

Experience with enterprise storage (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE)

Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas)

Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching

Experience with network circuit provisioning and monitoring tools

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Skills

Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

Familiarity with monitoring and capacity planning tools

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Preferred certifications: MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Server+, VMware (not mandatory)
