Night Shift-Certified Nursing Assistant

Maple Point Supportive Living is a small community with 30 apartments located in t Monticello, IL. Our top priority is to provide excellent person-centered care to our residents while ensuring their happiness and, most importantly, their safety.

Currently, we are in search of a Certified Nursing Assistant who is passionate about working with elderly individuals. We currently have full-time Night shift available. We require someone who is dependable, positive, and takes pride in providing excellent care to our residents.

Job Duties include the following:

1. Renders nursing care to residents within an assigned unit.

2. Observes and reports symptoms and conditions of residents to licensed nurse.

3. May take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.

4. Completes charting in resident files as directed and according to policy.

5. Bathes residents by assisting resident into bathtub or shower. Assists in the bathing/grooming restorative program. Applies special skin care products as directed and monitored by professional staff. Observes and reports signs and symptoms of skin breakdown.

6. Prepares resident for the day or night, as necessary, by assisting in dressing and activities of daily living (ADL).

7. Communicates clearly with residents while carrying out job duties

8. Answers resident emergency call lights in a timely manner.

9. Completes daily room checks as required.

10. Makes beds and puts rooms in order to complete unit neatness.

11. Weighs residents according to protocol and/or individualized service plan.

12. Transports residents to dining room and provides assistance as needed. Supervises dining experience.

13. Stocks linen carts and mops in emergencies.

14. Utilizes proper body mechanics when assisting residents.

15. Answers telephones and directs visitors as necessary.

16. Conducts activities as assigned and assists with reminders of and transportation to activities.

17. Change linen in resident units.

18. Provides medication reminders and assistance according to resident service plan.

19. Assists with Maple Point laundry as assigned.

20. Clean resident units as assigned.

21. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

22. Employee is responsible for being knowledgeable of and able to perform all fire and safety, tornado, and disaster evacuation procedures. Employee shall participate in all building preparedness programs.

23. Participates in all in-service and staff development programs as directed.

24. Is knowledgeable of all nursing service policies and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Experience:

• CNA: 1 year (Preferred)
