About Hammer and Nails

Hammer and Nails Chamblee is a luxury grooming shop for men located in North Atlanta. This is not a traditional barbershop or nail salon. Our shop is designed for comfort, precision, and intention in a man cave inspired environment. Each station has its own television, some services include Bluetooth noise cancelling headphones, and every guest receives a complimentary drink experience from the member lounge bar.

Our team delivers barbering, beard care, face treatments, manicures, pedicures, and premium sensory driven services. We operate on a membership model that rewards guest loyalty and creates predictable demand for our artists. The Golden Standard is our guiding service philosophy and refers to a detailed protocol for delivering high quality, consistent, luxury level grooming.

We are growing quickly and looking for a dedicated leader who understands hospitality, structure, and how to build a performance driven culture.

Role Summary

We are seeking a General Manager who thrives in a premium service environment and who can balance strong operations with people development. You will oversee day to day shop performance, coach and support barbers, nail technicians, and concierges, and maintain the high level of guest experience that defines Hammer and Nails.

The right candidate is organized, calm under pressure, confident in decision making, and skilled at communicating expectations with clarity. You will play a key role in membership growth, operational excellence, and team morale.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and support a team of barbers, nail techs, and member concierges
  • Train staff on the Golden Standard and ensure consistent delivery
  • Address performance issues early and with professionalism
  • Run huddles, maintain communication, and create a positive team culture

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain daily shop flow and ensure proper staffing at all times
  • Oversee schedule management, artist utilization, and appointment flow
  • Enforce opening, midday, and closing procedures
  • Manage inventory, ordering, cleanliness, and equipment care
  • Ensure the shop always reflects our brand look and standards

Membership and Guest Experience

  • Support the concierge team in converting guests into members
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure repeat business through service quality

Financial and Administrative Oversight

  • Manage payroll, labor cost, and budget discipline
  • Track KPIs such as utilization, booking conversion, membership growth, and retail
  • Ensure compliance with franchise guidelines and local regulatory requirements
  • Partner with ownership to create and execute growth strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • Three or more years of management experience in hospitality, fitness, salon, spa, or similar service environments
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • High reliability, professionalism, and emotional maturity
  • Ability to coach staff, maintain accountability, and uphold standards
  • Experience managing labor costs and operational KPIs
  • A guest focused mindset and passion for delivering luxury service
  • Comfort working evenings and weekends as needed

Pay: $55, $65,000.00 per year
