Home Care Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
• Support clients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
• Engage clients in memory care activities for those experiencing Alzheimer's or dementia.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling medical documentation and records.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual client needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred, but NOT REQUIRED.
• Will need to pass a TB test (We will provide the location and pay for testing)
• Will need to pass an FBI fingerprint background check
• Strong observational skills to monitor patient conditions effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Must pass general knowledge test.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving including lifting, standing for extended periods, and assisting clients with mobility challenges. Pay: $ $12.10 per hour
