Position: Part-Time Administrative Assistant - Dance Studio

Studio Location: River Oaks Dance, 5750 Woodway Dr., Suite 156, Houston, TX 77057

Overview: River Oaks Dance, a boutique dance studio in Houston, Texas, is dedicated to delivering exceptional dance education and experiences to our students and their families. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and friendly, family-oriented individual to serve as our Administrative Assistant. This engaging role is perfect for someone who thrives on building community, managing events, and driving engagement through in person and online communication efforts.

Key Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant will play a critical role as an ambassador of our studio, embodying its culture to ensure every student and parent feels welcomed and valued. This individual will excel in communication, community-building, and portraying key messaging to our dance families.

Primary responsibilities include:

Administrative & Marketing:

  • Daily studio operations
  • Face-to-face and written communication with parents
  • Providing tours of the studio
  • Answering phones
  • Opening and closing the studio
  • Assist the operations manager with program planning
  • Loving the kids and making them feel special
  • Making announcements to students and inform parents at pickup about upcoming promos and events at the studio
  • Being the studio's biggest cheerleader
  • Making retail sales and inputting inventory
  • Keeping lobby tidy and professional

Required Software Knowledge:

  • Canva
  • Google Worksapce (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Square for Retail
  • Studio Pro (will provide training)
  • Studio Sync / Lead Connector

  • Polished and professional appearance (no visible tattoos or piercings other than ears)

  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to commit to a schedule for the school year with flexibility during the summers
  • Passionate about dance and building a positive community
  • Possesses strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Enjoys event planning and social media engagement
  • Is detail-oriented, creative, and a team player
  • Is not afraid or above of jumping in as needed to help

Hours: Approximately 24 hours over the course of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and possibly Saturdays. This will become a full time position for the right person.

Compensation: starting at $20 per hour.
