Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary
All Health Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support our rapidly growing, multi-specialty healthcare network. This is a remote position, offering flexibility while playing a crucial role in our organization's financial operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in billing for multiple specialties, thrives in a high-volume environment, and demonstrates accuracy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills. Must have at least 5 years experience

Duties

• Key Responsibilities

· Billing & Charge Capture

· Accurately review, post, and reconcile charges from multiple providers across all service lines.

· Verify appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for:

· Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation before claim submission.

· Claims Submission & Follow-Up : submit clean claims daily through clearinghouse and payer portals. Resolve claim rejections, denials, and underpayments in a timely manner. Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances. Process corrected claims, appeals, and additional documentation requests.

· Patient Billing & Support : Generate patient statements and address billing inquiries with professionalism. Explain insurance benefits, deductibles, copays, and patient balances.

Compliance & Quality Control

· Maintain compliance with AMA, CMS, and payer-specific rules.

· Protect patient privacy with strict adherence to HIPAA.

· Identify recurring issues and collaborate with leadership to improve processes.

· Support providers with documentation or coding clarification when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 2+ years of medical billing experience (multi-specialty strongly preferred).

· Solid understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.

· Experience with EHR/billing software (Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar).

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management.
