Must be a U.S. citizen due to government related contract with a valid passport (possible travel to Mexico)
Travel Requirements
- May travel to
Mexico
as a backup to two Quality Engineers supporting the
Video EMS site
. - Travel duration typically
one week
. - Expected
1–2 trips in a 12-month period
(only if needed). - The company will arrange and pay for
all travel, lodging, and transportation

Job Description
The Quality Engineer II is responsible for identifying supplier-related technical issues, driving corrective actions, and ensuring continuous structural quality and process improvements. Work includes managing supplier relationships, improving quality reliability, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance through the company system based on the 8D problem-solving discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify supplier technical problems and drive corrective actions using the
MCAR 8D system
. - Serve as liaison for suppliers across the
Distribution Center
and
Manufacturing sites
. - Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery compliance.
- Improve quality reliability and support product transition requirements.
- Participate in local Quality and Regulatory Compliance audits.
- Maintain the
Supplier Quality Ranking System
locally. - Meet with suppliers to review metrics, provide feedback, and manage process controls.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, certifications, and database records.
- Prioritize and address critical customer complaints related to delivered products.
- Support quality improvement initiatives at internal and external sites.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a
technical or science
field (Master's is a plus). - Minimum
5 years
of experience in Supplier or Supply Chain Quality roles. - Experience with
Distribution Centers
and
Manufacturing processes
preferred. - Strong technical knowledge of
products, systems, and integrated solutions
. - Deep understanding of
quality standards
and
continuous improvement methods
. - Experience with
Lean / Six Sigma
(certified Belt is an advantage). - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow through on corrective plans.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in
cross-cultural environments
.
