Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a senior-level
Electrical Engineer
with deep expertise in high-voltage (HV) systems to support electrification programs, including diesel-electric, battery-electric, and hybrid powertrain development. This role is responsible for defining, integrating, validating, and troubleshooting HV electrical components and systems from concept through production. The engineer will ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, support system commissioning, and provide technical leadership across multiple powertrain projects. This position offers broad exposure to emerging electrification technologies and HV safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze HV electrical systems for protection, arc-flash mitigation, and fault-handling using tools such as
ETAP
and
PSpice
• Create system and subsystem diagrams for electric powertrain applications
• Ensure proper selection, sizing, and coordination of HV overload-protection devices
• Define, integrate, and validate HV components within machine powertrain systems
• Drive requirements definition aligned with relevant electrical safety standards (IEEE, NFPA, IEC, ISO, UN)
• Provide HV diagnostic information and requirements to software and controls teams
• Conduct virtual audits for grounding, bonding, HV cable routing, and compliance
• Support machine commissioning by evaluating standards compliance, documenting issues, and ensuring safe operating procedures
• Develop HV design guides and standard work based on best practices and lessons learned
• Troubleshoot HV field issues and analyze performance data
• Educate engineering partners on HV hazards, safe handling, and best practices
Required Qualifications
•
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Electrical or Mechanical preferred) -
No 2-year degrees accepted
•
10+ years
of experience in high-voltage electrical systems engineering (Master's accepted with 8+ years)
• Hands-on experience working with
300V+ DC systems
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, HV powertrain integration, and system architecture
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools and documentation practices
• Experience with system validation, HV component selection, and HV safety analysis
• Ability to collaborate with global engineering teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of
IEC, ISO, NFPA, IEEE
electrical standards
• Experience with fuse coordination, cable sizing, arc-flash studies, and short-circuit analysis
• Familiarity with
ETAP

MATLAB

Visio

Creo Schematics
• Background in EV systems integration, power systems design, or HV testing

Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a highly skilled
Systems/Quality Validation Engineer
to support validation activities for embedded electronic controls and user-interface software used in large machine applications. This engineer will work as part of a global development and validation team, contributing to software feature testing, bug identification, debugging support, and test planning. The role includes both manual and automated test execution, documentation, and collaboration with system engineers, developers, and validation specialists across multiple regions. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, experienced with HIL/SIL testing, and passionate about delivering high-quality embedded software.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and approve test plans, test scenarios, scripts, schedules, and validation procedures
• Execute manual and automated test cases for embedded electronic controls and display features
• Develop new test plans for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Identify, document, and debug software defects; work with developers for triage and resolution
• Participate in product design reviews and provide feedback on functional requirements, risks, and project schedules
• Support global coordination with systems, software, and validation teams
• Perform test case documentation, hardware troubleshooting, and maintenance as required
Required Qualifications
