Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Hospice & Geriatric Care

Nayar Hospice is seeking a compassionate, experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a strong background in geriatrics and hospice care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families during one of the most important phases of care.

As an LPN at Nayar Hospice, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse to provide high-quality medical care that supports the health, comfort, and dignity of our patients. We're looking for a self-motivated professional who brings both skill and heart to every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately document patient medical histories and updates
• Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.)
• Monitor treatment progress and watch for side effects or changes in condition
• Track fluid intake/output and maintain detailed patient charts
• Collect specimens for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families
• Communicate effectively with patients' loved ones, offering guidance, comfort, and instructions as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Virginia
• Experience in hospice or geriatric care required
• Strong clinical skills with a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
