Responsibilities
As a Bilingual OT Evaluator for CPSE, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive, play-based Occupational Therapy evaluations for preschool-aged children (ages 3-5) to determine eligibility for CPSE services.
- Fluently administer evaluations and communicate results to families in English and a Spanish, as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary evaluation team members.
- Conduct thorough parent interviews to gather relevant developmental and medical history.
- Prepare and submit detailed, high-quality evaluation reports that comply with all NYSED/NYC DOE CPSE regulations and deadlines.
- Participate in CPSE meetings (initial, annual, and review) to discuss evaluation results and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Current New York State (NYS) Licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Minimum one year of experience working with children under 5 years of age.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CPSE regulations, procedures, and timelines.
- Excellent written communication skills for comprehensive report writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain timely paperwork submission.
