As GEM advances toward large-scale global commercialization and positions itself for a potential pre-IPO trajectory, the company is seeking a highly accomplished Controller to join its leadership team. The ideal candidate brings proven experience across both private and public company environments, expertise in GAAP and SEC reporting, and a strong track record implementing integrated ERP and CRM systems to drive scalability, transparency, and audit readiness during periods of rapid expansion.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will serve as a key strategic leader in strengthening and scaling GEM's finance and accounting infrastructure during a critical phase of growth and pre-IPO readiness. This role oversees the preparation, analysis, and presentation of timely and accurate financial results, ensuring the integrity and reliability of all internal and external reporting.

The Controller will direct the company's financial policies, accounting methodologies, fiscal recordkeeping, and full financial reporting cycle. Responsibilities include leadership of general accounting operations—accounts receivable, accounts payable, internal audit, cost accounting, long-range financial planning and budgetary controls—while establishing the systems, controls, and compliance foundation required for a future public-company environment. The role also carries primary responsibility for safeguarding and managing all company assets, including inventory, through disciplined oversight and robust internal controls.

Position Responsibilities:

· Manage 2 or more direct reports for accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

· Manage outsourced services i.e.: payroll and benefits provider.

· Establish and maintain effective internal controls to ensure transactions are properly reflected in the financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

· Lead all period end (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) financial closing activities.

· Prepare business presentations / review materials for the management team and offer insights to drive operational performance.

· Partner with the business to review new resource requirements as well as rationalization opportunities.

· Oversee the annual setting of the manufacturing product cost standards and regularly report on the monthly variances.

· Lead the physical inventory counts and valuation and ensure accurate accounting of the value.

· Lead the preparation and consolidation of the annual planning process and the forecasting work-streams throughout the year.

· Lead the annual external financial audit.

· Support all of the functional leaders as a business partner by providing regular analysis and reporting on operational performance for all business activities, and involvement in defining short and long-range financial requirements.
