THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Temporary Maintenance Manager to join The Gardens team in Qualicum Beach, B.C.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm . Sometimes on-call (emergency) so preferably to live close by.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in building or facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores
- Must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team member
- Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily.
- Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions
- Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.
- Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components commensurate with the capabilities of an experienced maintenance trade person
