Packaging Technician

The Packaging Technician is responsible for operating packaging equipment, inspecting product quality, and ensuring all finished goods are packed, labeled, and palletized according to company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role supports efficient production flow and maintains strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging operations is a plus.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

• Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including baggers, sealers, labelers, and case packers.

• Inspect products and packaging materials for quality and consistency, and remove defective items as necessary.
• Ensure correct labels, dates, and codes are applied to all finished goods.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and packaging reports.
• Set up equipment for different product runs, including adjustments for size, weight, and packaging materials.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards.
• Work collaboratively with production, QA, and warehouse teams to meet daily output goals.
• Assist with palletizing, wrapping, staging, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues immediately.
