Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Support inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and managing food ordering to minimize waste and control costs
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper handling techniques, and efficient workflow practices
- Manage shift schedules, coordinate staff coverage, and ensure smooth service during busy hours in a quick service or casual dining setting
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to sanitation regulations and conducting routine cleanliness inspections
- Assist with budgeting tasks, including labor costs and food expenses, to support overall restaurant profitability
- Contribute to customer service excellence by maintaining a positive environment and addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment
- Demonstrated supervising experience with staff training, team management, and shift oversight
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential
- Familiarity with inventory control methods and food safety regulations; certifications in food handling or safety are preferred
- Previous hospitality management experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members through effective training & development practices
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence and teamwork
