The
Logistics Analyst
supports the Global Logistics Manager and the Logistics Team providing data centralization, normalization and analysis for our business and customers around the world.

The person in this role will report to the Global Logistics Manager and will be based
onsite in our Rantoul, IL
office.

Essential Job Functions
Assist with all Revelyst freight

  • Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing Revelyst's shipments, including working with carriers and 3PL providers to ensure excellent delivery performance
  • Measure and report key performance indicators for all modes including ocean, air, LTL, Truckload and parcel delivery and spend
  • Correspond with the Revelyst teams worldwide on Logistics matters pertaining to inbound and outbound freight
  • Assist in the analysis and provide statistical information on the tracking of product shipments
  • Provide milestones of domestic and international freight to Planners and Internal parties and provide expedited rates if necessary
  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of spend and trends by cost per unit
  • Working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure that freight payments are made and freight is not delayed
  • Publish key performance indicators for transportation spend
  • Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for tracking
  • Provide estimated expedited freight information to the various Revelyst teams
  • Monitor market conditions and communicate any potential supply chain disruptions within the company
  • Audit freight invoices
  • Be the subject matter professional on all modes of transportation

Plan, prepare and complete RFPs for modes of transportation annually

  • Negotiate and award freight lanes based on rates and performance, while building relationships with providers
  • Perform cost analysis to determine the lowest possible total cost that is consistent with the needs of the company
  • Responsible for preparing statistical data for contract negotiations and participating in negotiations

Assist in managing the supply chain in an effort to find opportunities for reducing total cost while maintaining quality and on-time-delivery metrics

  • Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for the tracking, measurement, reporting, and analysis of all transportation
  • Monitor and communicate carrier's performance, capacity, tender acceptance ratio and other metrics
  • Support the operations team; including the DCs, Planners, Customs Compliance, Customer Service and third parties globally
  • Proactively send Industry trends / network disruptions / contingency plans to the company
  • Promote continuous improvement and value-added management in a service and team oriented basis

Work with carriers, customs brokers, 3PL's, and various internal Revelyst teams on logistics issues

  • Assist Revelyst distribution centers with inbound receiving and outbound shipping problems
  • Initiate and maintain effective and professional relationships with existing and new vendors
  • Assist and educate our internal customers in their dealings with vendors in an effort for Revelyst to meet our vendor's expectations
  • Maintain accurate file system to ensure compliance with audit requirements, including analyzing and correcting EDI issues
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures
  • Provide visibility to business units on delivery status
  • Follow company policy and procedures, Team Values, Vendor Assessment, Signature Authority and other sections/procedures as applicable
  • Proactively accepts additional duties and/or responsibilities as directed by the Manager of Global Logistics

Education And Training

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Business Administration and/or Supply Chain Management degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Analytics, Traffic Management, International Logistics and/or a customs brokers environment preferred
  • Understanding of accounting principles, preferred
  • Experience in MRP II, and SAP preferred
  • Experience in retail/sporting goods industry a plus
  • Hazmat certification a plus

Skills And Abilities

  • Must have strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven capabilities in data centralization, normalization, cleansing and analysis
  • Ability to design and build dashboards in PowerBI
  • Must have strong business acumen and MS Office proficiency (Word and Excel)
  • Able to work alongside a cross-functional Team
  • Must have business administration skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Must be able to multi-task

Pay Range
Annual Salary: $60, $70,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
