Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home community care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring personal care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The client requires an older aide on her case.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record clients' health status, including vital signs when required.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or long-term care facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus.
• Experience in behavior management techniques is beneficial for supporting clients with specific needs.
• A background in personal care homes or assisted living environments will be advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families are essential.
