Location: Lower Manhattan, NY 10007

Salary Range: $50-$60/HR

6-Month contract with intent to go permanent

We are seeking an experienced
Employee Relations Manager
to join our team and play a critical role in fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position involves investigating and resolving complex employee relations issues while ensuring legal compliance and consistency. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills who can provide expert guidance to employees, managers, and HR partners. Required Skills & Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered:

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex employee relations cases and investigations.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven ability to handle a variety of employee relations matters effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
The following skills and experiences are a plus but not required:

  • Experience managing employee relations in a corporate or large-scale organization.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution and performance management strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess trends and recommend proactive solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Partnering with leadership to establish an Employee Relations Center of Excellence.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, providing guidance on performance management, employee concerns, and terminations.
  • Assisting managers with performance improvement plans and termination documentation.
  • Conducting employee relations investigations and ensuring fair resolutions.
  • Facilitating and resolving sensitive workplace conversations, including involuntary terminations.
  • Developing and delivering training sessions on employee relations best practices.
  • Collaborating with HR Compliance to create and update HR policies.
  • Using employee relations data to generate reports and trend analysis.
  • Supporting workforce reduction processes in partnership with HR Business Partners.
  • Maintaining accurate records within the Employee Relations and Leave case management system.

Company Benefits & Culture

  • Hybrid work schedule - must be available to work onsite three days per week  in Lower Manhattan (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
