Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and industrial settings. Must be available between the hours of 5-11 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Execute floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed.
• Conduct custodial duties in accordance with established safety protocols to ensure a clean environment.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the facility.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of custodial practices and safety procedures is beneficial.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
