Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Millwright Mechanic to join our Industrial Service team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our customers production lines running smoothly, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong mechanical background with a passion for industrial maintenance and field service excellence.

Duties

  • Install, align, and assemble machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to meet precise specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including some hydraulics, and some high-voltage electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and calipers; diagnose faults in low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts through welding (including Industrial Manufacturing welding techniques), some hydraulic repairs, or mechanical adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and asset histories accurately.
  • Perform field service tasks on-site at various locations within their facility or customer sites as needed.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated machinery or components during maintenance activities.
  • Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment specifications or repair solutions when required.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage systems, industrial electrician practices, and HVAC/R regulations.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency with schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting involving low voltage and high voltage systems.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and other diagnostic tools for accurate analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with welding techniques specific to Industrial Manufacturing welding standards; capable of fabricating or repairing metal components as needed.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and fluid power controls.
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts safely for elevated maintenance tasks; certified if required by safety regulations.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external clients during field service operations.
  • Analysis skills to identify root causes of mechanical failures quickly and implement effective solutions efficiently.
  • Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable for troubleshooting electrical issues involving high voltage systems safely.
  • Ability to Travel outside the Pueblo City Limits, from an overnight job or up to two weeks as the job may require.
  • Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration across teams; military background is a plus for disciplined approach to safety standards. Pay: $ $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
