JOB TITLE: Senior BI Analyst

LOCATION: Richardson, TX, and hybrid role, may work from home.

DUTIES:

  • Under limited direction, evaluate, design, implement, and support business intelligence (BI) projects, processes, and systems.
  • Responsible for execution and success of BI projects, processes, and programs, using analytics, data engineering, data modeling, data analysis, dashboard development, and project scoping.
  • Promote BI value and use within the Lennox organization.
  • Understand key business metrics and drivers.
  • Work with functional domain owners to define project requirements, scope, success criteria and business definitions for BI projects.
  • Convert business questions into visual representations of data using tools including Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI reporting/analytics tools.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop project KPIs and scope documentation to include derivation, calculation logic and data sources. Develop reporting, analytics, and dashboards for business users.
  • Execute change management and adoption within the business.
  • Represent the Analytics Engineering team in BI project decisions.
  • Partner with IT on solution design and development, data modeling, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Define user security requirements.
  • Train business users, provide end user support, and develop power user network within the business.
  • Execute data quality initiatives and enforce robust data management and governance processes.
  • Responsible for SQL data modeling, scripting, querying, data cleansing, data enrichment, data transformation, and query tuning.
  • Monitor data quality metrics, and facilitate corrective actions to address data quality issues.
  • Work with the Analytics Center of Excellence and IT to evaluate current and emerging analytics technology.

What We Are Looking For:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Information Technology Management, Data Science, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as an SQL Developer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or in a related/similar position.
  • Experience therein to include 3 years of experience in the following:
  • analytics, data engineering, data modeling, data analysis, dashboard development, and project scoping;
  • SQL data modeling, scripting, querying, data cleansing, data enrichment, data transformation, and query tuning;
  • converting business questions into visual representations of data using tools including Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI reporting/analytics tools;
  • and working with stakeholders to develop project KPIs and scope documentation to include derivation, calculation logic and data sources.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree in the fields stated above and 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a SQL Developer, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or in a related/similar position.
  • Experience therein to include 1 year of experience in the skillsets stated above.
  • Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
