We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our thriving logistics facility in Portland, Oregon. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment to customers. Your efficiency and precision directly impact our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our distribution center. This position requires individuals who are physically capable of consistent lifting, standing, and moving throughout the warehouse. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are paramount. We provide all necessary PPE and expect its proper use to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for transit, ensuring product protection.
- Label all packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain productivity standards and quality metrics.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily shipping goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable with standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing PPE.
