We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our busy San Jose, California warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be essential in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your primary goal is to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations, supporting our extensive logistics network. You will handle a variety of materials and operate specialized equipment to meet production and shipping demands. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and possess excellent operational skills. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure safety and functionality, reporting any issues promptly.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support the shipping and receiving departments as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics is a plus.
