We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all outgoing shipments. This includes verifying orders, preparing documentation, packaging items securely, and coordinating with carriers. Your attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines are essential for the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify shipping orders for accuracy.
- Pick and pack items according to order specifications.
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Package products securely for transit, using appropriate materials and methods.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments or customers.
- Conduct regular audits of shipping manifests and documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, and promote a culture of safety.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
