Seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Houston, Texas. This role involves not only general warehouse duties but also a focus on maintaining the equipment and infrastructure that keeps our logistics operations running smoothly. You will be responsible for tasks such as operating machinery, performing basic maintenance, organizing inventory, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of warehouse systems. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle significant Lifting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Safety is paramount; therefore, you must rigorously follow all safety protocols and wear the designated PPE. Your contribution is vital to the seamless functioning of our supply chain and logistics network. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and conveyors.
- Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on machinery.
- Assist with the receiving and stocking of goods.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including proper PPE usage.
- Handle tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Support the logistics team in day-to-day operations.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Proven experience as a warehouse technician or similar role.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with warehouse management systems.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including substantial Lifting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards and PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
