We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Charlotte, North Carolina logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management systems is crucial. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will directly contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Execute daily cycle counts and participate in physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS and other related systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock accuracy and potential issues.
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Develop and implement process improvements for inventory control.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse role. Solid understanding of inventory management principles and logistics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 lbs, and stand for extended periods. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
