Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our Logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading delivery trucks, verifying the contents of shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth operation of our distribution center. A strong commitment to Safety is essential; you will be expected to follow all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be organized, possess good communication skills, and be capable of performing physical tasks, including Lifting. Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from delivery vehicles.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
  • Tag and label received merchandise as required.
  • Stage received goods for put-away by other warehouse staff.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
  • Proper use of required PPE is mandatory.
  • Must be able to perform manual Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the Logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
