Job Summary:
Our Houston, Texas distribution center is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, which is vital for our logistics operations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems. Your dedication to accuracy and commitment to Safety will be essential in this position. Help us maintain optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate inventory recording.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy to management.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items, adhering to Safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ensure the proper use of PPE during all inventory-related activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Safety protocols within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
