We are recruiting a skilled Material Handler for our bustling warehouse in Dallas, Texas. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong focus on Safety and precision is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Support the overall logistics workflow by ensuring materials are accessible when needed.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness and Safety.
- Contribute to a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in a Material Handler role or similar.
- Demonstrated ability in operating warehouse equipment.
- Capability for physical tasks, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics processes.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
