Our fast-paced logistics center in San Diego, California, is looking for a proactive Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee daily warehouse activities. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for coordinating team efforts, managing inventory, and ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and inventory.
- Enforce strict adherence to Safety protocols and ensure the proper use of PPE by all staff.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless Logistics operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
- Manage the Loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring timely turnaround.
- Oversee the proper storage and organization of goods within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of warehouse management software and practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including regular Lifting of materials.
- Proficiency in inventory management techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
