We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. As a vital member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials. Your role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of inventory and supporting our overall logistics operations. A strong commitment to workplace safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all company procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and warehouse policies.
- Participate in inventory counts as required.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and stacked.
- Proper use and care of assigned PPE .
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Understanding of forklift safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to wear and properly use required PPE .
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
