Join our thriving logistics operation as a Shipping Clerk in Boise, Idaho! We are looking for an organized and reliable individual to manage the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments. This position plays a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring that products reach our customers efficiently and without error. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all outbound packages meet shipping requirements. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy, damage, and proper packaging.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Operate scanning equipment to record shipment data and update inventory systems.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, emphasizing safety and accessibility.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed, following safe lifting practices.
- Utilize appropriate PPE, such as safety glasses and gloves, during all shipping activities.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics process.
- Manage inventory levels for shipping supplies and reorder as necessary.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may impact shipment timelines or accuracy, ensuring a smooth flow of goods.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, prioritizing a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Be prepared for physical demands, including standing for extended periods and moderate lifting, while always maintaining proper lifting techniques.
