SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and experienced Private Household Chef to join a private residence in Bryan, Texas. The ideal candidate is creative, professional and highly organized, with a passion for crafting nutritious and delicious meals tailored to the family's preferences and dietary needs.

• Location: Bryan, TX
• Schedule: Five-day workweek (likely Sunday and Monday off)
• Status: Full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package
• Start Date: As soon as possible

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and prepare daily meals for the household, focusing on variety, nutrition and dietary restrictions/preferences.
• Design weekly menus in collaboration with the principals, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
• Shop for groceries and maintain a well-stocked and organized kitchen.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety at all times.
• Cater for special events, dinner parties or guests as needed.
• Manage kitchen inventory, budget and equipment maintenance.
• Accommodate dietary needs including gluten-free, vegetarian, low-carb, etc.
• Prepare meals in advance for off-days when required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Private Chef or similar role in a private household or high-end hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of various cuisines, dietary trends and culinary techniques.
• Excellent time management, organization and multitasking skills.
• Professional demeanor and discretion; respect for household privacy.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and last-minute requests.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Culinary degree or relevant certification.
• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with high-net-worth families or in formal households.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand; walk; bend; and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to moderate noise level in the work environment.
• Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and outdoor conditions.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
