We're working with Cox Automotive on this exciting opportunity.

This pivotal role leads a team of Detection Engineers, focusing on safeguarding the organization against emerging cyber threats through advanced detection capabilities. You'll enhance Cox Automotive's next-generation Cyber Defense practice, enabling rapid threat response and automated remediation, offering significant career growth in a critical area of cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define detection engineering strategy, roadmap, and objectives.

• Design and implement advanced threat detection techniques using SIEM, EDR, NDR, and SOAR platforms.

• Develop innovative custom detection rules, automated remediation, playbooks, and alerts.

• Leverage industry standard MITRE frameworks to identify detection coverage and close gaps.

• Collaborate with the incident response team to ensure rapid detection and containment of cyber threats.

• Partner with other Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Product teams to align detection strategies with organizational objectives.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 8+ years of industry related professional experience.

• Multi-cloud security experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Expert level knowledge on Detection Engineering and Security Operations.

• 3+ years of management or leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.

• Strong experience with Information Security, Network Security, Security Monitoring, and Incident Response.

• Expert level knowledge on the attack kill chain and diamond model.
