Art Gallery Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Art Gallery Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting with sales of artwork. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, excellent communication skills, and experience in retail sales environments. The Sales Associate will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while promoting our gallery's collections and products.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors warmly and provide information about artworks and artists
• Assist customers with selecting art pieces and framing options
• Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments
• Conduct product demos and explain artwork features to enhance customer experience
• Upsell related products or services to increase sales opportunities
• Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
• Assist with basic cashiering duties, including cash handling and retail math calculations

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in an art gallery, high-end luxury store, or similar environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Experience in upselling, product demos, merchandising, and stocking products
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities within the team
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
